« on: May 10, 2019, 12:11:11 PM »
I ran into this picture today as I was clean up my out building. I thought someone might remember it and get a grin out of it.

I heard that he was awarded the light assembly at the banquet. I understand it never made it to Texas, it was deposited in a dumpster somewhere southwest of Illinois.

Gee, Joe, I wonder if Don Gieseke has any knowledge of how that pesky landing light got to the banquet...  VD~

When you talk to Don about this, remember the key phrase: Statute of limitation...  LL~

You guys need to find a circle somewhere.  This flying in street intersections is just too dangerous. LL~

He ran his planes into lots of things. The side of a Bradlees department store (after snapped lines) was another good one.

I haven't. But I did fly my inboard wing into my fuel can once, and I felt a lot better about it once the illustrious Bear did something similarly, er, impressive.

I saw one notable individual who shall remain nameless fly his i-beamer, perhaps the prototype Juno, inverted into his own tool box.

Much better when you hit it square & center .

Gotta ' Schnick Schnick ' a cople of times one day , on the glide . Couldnt find any marks on any of the aeroplanes .
The Line up and the center relationship . All my own aeroplanes . Definately Two from the ' clicks ' .

There have probably been many, but I've heard of one intetesting case when the lines got slack and the plane came into the circle and hit the pilot.
