If everyone would go to your profile and delete your zip code the weather will quit trying to load and speed the forum up for everyone. Even if you are not seeing a slow down it will be faster for you...

I have had no complaints about the speed of this forum, but deleted my ZIP Code and was surprised at the improvement.

As a matter of detail, it has been noted that Firefox loads faster than IE in this situation (the weather link IP missing)---so even it isn't the perfect solution, it will help you individually until Sparky deletes the linkage of the ZIP to the weather site. I have deleted my ZIP, but I am guessing it will be a long time before everyone does---or even everyone in any individual thread gets around to it.

Don't forget your airport (ICAO) code, if you used that instead of your zip code.

I did discuss this with you in the open several days ago, at the time you said you would delete the links to citywx.com. Hasn't happened so figured you were tied up and couldn't get to it.. Removing your zip code fixes the problem.. Thought I was doing the forum a favor as I am sure I'm not the only one that gets tired of waiting for threads to load.. Although I'm probably the most verbal.

Have not deleted zip code.  Been timing the posts on how long it takes for them to come up.  What is a couple of seconds unless the plane is on the down side of reverse wingover.  DOC Holliday
