That is really neat.  Is that a Sterling engine?  At the very least it is an external combustion engine.

I recall seeing it somewhere billed as a Stirling.  It probably lacks the regenerator to make it a true Stirling cycle engine, but for a hobby engine, who's counting?

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I have seen them on ebay for years.  You have to want one real bad to pay $600 for a kit.  Stirling engines are fun.

I have a friend in Colorado Springs who sells kits for Stirling engines.  Not practical, but they will turn small propellers and such.  E-mail me for address.
