Well I have decided that it is time to get back to basics or back to a field that is closer to home. Went out this after noon thinking the mower was ready as far as the tire that keeps giving me trouble. Earlier in the week I went to the Shawnee Mission Park Office to see if the control line circle was still there. Have permission to maintain it and fly. Naturally an AMA license is required for their protection. Had the circle almost done when the tire went out on me again. Said to heck with it and kept mowing as there was not that much left.
Pulled out the Ringmaster and flew two flights. It didn't like the second verticle 8 I tried for some reason. Maybe it was the missing rudder from the first flight when engine quit while inverted. Pulled out the ISW and put one flight on it and decided it was time to call it quits as the sun was setting. Anyway the Ford, trailer with the mower are parked in the back yard. Will work on it tomorrow.
The field is a little rough right now as nobody has taken care of it while I was away. So I am available for flying at Shawnee Mission Park. So don't look for me up north anymore unless someone has a control line fly in. By the way I still need to tame down the ISW. It is study in level laps, but 4 foot loops is too much.
