Has anyone used a glue dispenser that has a long metal tube and a squeezable plastic bottle for yellow wood glue? I am looking for something like that so I can more precisely put glue without getting it all over the place. It would work great for the edges of 1/16 sheet and such. Where would one get one? How big does the tube need to be?

Matt, I buy 2 or 3 oz squeezable glue bottles that you connect a 14 gauge Luer lock needle to and it works great. Tom Morris showed me these years ago and I use them to edge glue 1/16 balsa sheets together as well as apply glue anywhere you need to.

These are the ones I buy but they have lots of others. You can also buy the 14 gauge blunt nose needles from Amazon a hundred in a pack.

This is not what you are thinking but I like this one:

The baby version is ideally suited to model applications.

+1 on the 4 oz. GluBot

These are plentiful and cheap on Amazon. I have both, and they work equally well. Cheap enough to be virtually disposable.

I like the idea of these the best. the needles can be soaked in hot water to clean and clear them if needed if using water based glues. In the printing business, these are used on web presses to flow water along a precise line of the moving web to soften the paper so it fold easier and better, and can also be connected to a pressure pot for flowing glue. In the trade they are referred to as "pisser needles" and are pretty dog gone tough.
Type at you later,

I bought one of these a few years ago and it's been in*dispense*able.

holds 4oz, and the nozzle is about 1/16 - 3/32" wide, and flat so ideal for what we do.
the nozzle is removable so once it ineviatbly clogs with glue, a couple of minutes in hot water and you're back to gluing in to time!

I use plastic Veterinary syringes for applying yellow glue.
I get them from Atwood's in the Midwest but they should be available at feed and pet stores and the like that supply items like this.
There are several types of tips...but I like the short stub...about 3/8" or so...not curved.
I don't use any type of needle.
Makes it really easy to control the application without having to 'aim'.
Also, I use them for flushing tanks with lacquer thinner, alcohol etc etc...fuel line fits on the tip.
Flush out the glue with water and reuse them....they are about $1.00 for 4 of them...so I stock up.
Several sizes are available.

I like the bottle that comes with Elmer's School Glue. I clean it out and fill with Titebond.
I've used it to edge glue sheeting and that's as fine a point as I need. As a bonus, it clears the clogs automatically when I close the orange cap.
