Many of you know that in May of each year, a week of C/L stunt activities are held at the Triple Tree Aerodrome, Woodruff, SC. This past May, the weather did not cooperate. The annual Stunt Camp and two day contest was cancelled and will be back in May, 2019.
Prior to the May 2018 Joe Nall Week, the Triple Tree Board of Directors elected to hold a second Joe Nall week in September, 2018. This was decided upon long before the rainout in May. So, September 24 - 30, 2018, Triple Tree will open its gates for the "Nall in the Fall." All the activities associated with the May event will be duplicated next month. All, but the CLPA Stunt Contest. I made that decision so we would not take away any fliers who were going to attend the Metroliners October contest, the King Orange International, and any others in the general vacinity. These are long standing events that deserve to attract all the pilots that can possibly attend.
So, our three control line circles will be available all week for open flying. There will not be a contest nor will we hold a stunt camp. If you were not planning on attending any of the stunt events around the country, please consider joining us for a laid back week of flying at Triple Tree.
The fees to fly at Triple Tree during the "Nall in the Fall" are much lower than those for the May event. The registration process is the same. Go to the Triple Tree website, click on Nall in the Fall, and register online:
www.tripletreeaerodrome.com Again, we will have open flying and not a contest nor the stunt camp. Please support the other stablished contests around the same time frame. If you just want to fly and socialize, join us at Triple Tree. Call me or email me for any additional info: Mark Weiss (302)547-4917, email: ama82824@yahoo.com. Thank you!
