I saw that this morning.... way cool Bob!
Can't wait till it hits the stands.

Nikki said it went to the PO today.
I really have Geoff Goodworth to thank for helping me with the fuselage design and writing the article. The idea of bashing a P-40 into a Shoestring came from fellow Gluedobber Tom Martin. All I did was build it.

Hi Bob,
Pretty cool man! This is what happens when you help so many people hehe.
Merry Christmas !

Yeah I guess you are. That is sort of like going dancing on a Saturday night and then they turn on the lights when the party is over. You have to wonder about those gals you were dancing with.......................all in fun Bob. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame.

Congratulations, Bob!
Now, publish that "Shoestring" and let everyone see a new variant for the P-40!
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Make sure you include that Saito 40 with your carb in the article!! Show them how to get it done right.

Bill, that's exactly what we did. A 5-page article on the design, build and some trimming options, a diagram that shows how close the P-40 kit wing and tail plane are to thrue scale, a drawing of the fuselage and all the parts needed to build the model, a new pic of No 16 Shoestring at Cleveland in 1949 and some trim details for No 16 Shoestring and No 24 Spud RUnner. A full size PDF of the fuselage drawing will be available from Brodaks.
Sorry Milton, there is nothing on the engine setup—Bob can do that another time. Santa has already collected all the magazines and is trying to deliver them right now.
Mind you, he might have some difficulty in some places—the UK for example. Even in Australia, there was a foot of global warming over one of the Victorian ski fields earlier in the week when there is normally only snow from about June to October.
Merry Christmas everybody, Geoff
