You'll find attached an interesting .pdf document in which you'll see the actual weight (in grams) of each plane flown in the last WCH in Gyula.
This data comes right from the processing desks and was sent to me by one of the processing officials.

Great info, but it would be nice if we also had the areas to compare wing loadings.

Yes, it would be nice, but I don't have that info. And I'm afraid that nobody has it, since it's not part of the official processing routine done at any contest.

That is odd looking data. All the weights appear to be rounded to at least the nearest 10 grams and many are to an even hundred grams. 100 grams is about 3.5 ounces, seems like a significant amount.

What are the weights used for at the meet?

I think the weight chart would be beneficial if we knew the size lines the competitors used.

I agree the data is not very accurate. A lot of b models seem to weigh 1900 grs?? I know for sure mine weighs less. That said, given the fishscale used for pull testing any additional accuracy would have been superfluous. I added the data of my models, we can ask the rest of the world .

Nice list, unfortunately based on very inaccurate scale. My models are stated as 1800 and 1900g. My scale says 1760 for A model and 1790g for B model. Most of flyers told me that real weight is 50-100g lover than that scale shows. Most of models having FAI stickers (having weight for pull test) from previous years show that difference.

Regarding wing area – I can say that my Max model as well as Maxes used by all Slovak competitors and Konrmeier has wing area 0.42 - 0.43 m^2.

I am surprised to see the very heavy weights for the Chinese planes. Not that many years ago, they were the lightest planes at the WC's. Not so now.
I wonder why they have gone this way?

 One Chinese plane (the red one, I don't know who's) hit another plane (Milani/IT) during a flight at practise circles. Only the wingtips touched but soon after the collision it's outboard wing fell off.
 Anyway, it was fixed and flying again next morning. (Must have been a busy night) I guess that's the heaviest of them.. L
