With Bolly gone, who makes carbon props
« on: May 03, 2009, 09:56:10 PM »
OK, so who is making carbon props now? I know that Brian Eather was still making them (though not finishing them - don't know if he still is). But apart from that, who is still making them?

Brian Eather is not making them (at all), either...no pun intended.  This could be serious!

I did show you two alternate brands of props at TNA, didn't I? I think they both look pretty good. The 3 bladers should work for you, maybe.   y1 Steve

I believe Steve Wilk is making them, too. You can probably contact him through NASS, or certainly through his Dad, Tom Wilk.

Have you ordered from this company? Twice now I've gone through the order process and nowhere do they ask for credit card information, when I confirm the order I get a message that my order is recieved and will be dispatched quickly. I've tried to Email but they don't reply.

These look like the same props Stalked was selling, but with a better selection of diams and pitches. I hope I can get them properly oredered, I need then badly.

Mark,

Go down the left side menu and find C/L, you'll find the stunt props there.

Oh yeah, I got a confirmation letter this time, but still no way to give them mycard info.

BTW, these props are very low priced, $35 for 12 and 12.5 3B, if I can just get the order completed!

Good news, I was just emailed by the company, they are doing some site renovation and the credit card data doesn't come up. I am sending the info to him and will have the props soon I hope. The 12.5x4.3 is a month out, but I have to finish the Gladiator before I can use it anyway. I'll keep you all posted on this transaction.

Randy Smith stocks a full selection of the Mejzlic CF props.    Except the ones I bought this AM before posting this.  Tom H.

Are those what you use?

Bill is http://www.wrlee.com/EdomEnterprises/index.html , posted above.

Tomas Mejzlik is a Czech combat flyer.  I bought a bunch of combat stuff from him.  He is very reliable.  If you live in the US, getting his props from Randy would be quicker.

No, not right now (I told you what I used this afternoon) but they are definitely in the mix. Your JCT buddy has quite a few, too.

Will

The pic Will posted of Charles Reeves Super Ares had a three blade Lee-McCollum on it -- So, apparently they make a 3 suitable for a PA 40.

Interesting, one of the guys at the Huntersville contest has made some CF 2 and 3 blade for his own (and some friends) to use. He is not planning on making them commercially, though. Great story on the research / methodology involved.

Eather 12.5-3.75 3b "flat back" (green dye), set to measure 3.75" of pitch all the way out.

The 10.5 x 4.5 Mejzlik (aka "Majik" prop from Randy Smith) has LOTS of undercamber and a wide blade. It's a copy of the "Phelps prop", which was developed specifically for the Aero Tiger .36. But it is known to work on the  Brodak .40 and probably some other engines with similar tastes in propellers...Magnum XLS .36 and OS .40LA, being likely suspects. Can't say about other stunt props from Tom Mejzlik, tho.

I seem to recall that Igor Burger lists props on his site, too, but they may be the same as Mejzlik sells.  ??? Steve
