Get a gander at a young Les McDonald and his Stiletto. Most here will be albe to identify some if not most of the pilots featured. Nice video

"Wired for excitement" was the very fit commercial VHS I purchased. I still have it and watch it every now and then.  The voice over was done by a real pro, and I often wonder why the AMA didn't update that fine video. Wait, I JUST REMEMBERED, When the original video was available  the AMA was a model airplane organization. n~

Also remember...Jay Gerber was a pro.  NFL Films.  And making a film back then took a lot more time and skill and budget.  Today, every yutz with an Iphone considers themselves Steven Speilberg and there are a million awful modelling videos.   This was professially done.

Ah, the "good ol' days"  when 4' bottoms were the ceiling and a 525 got you a win.

Some say this film is corny, the narration awful, etc, etc.

I love it. Always have. Like every bit of it. I watch it at least yearly. It always gives me good vibes doing so.

(Sigh.) Just wish I enjoyed C/L as much as I used to.  ~^

Andre,  I'm having more fun now that I don't worry about competition.  Now fly when I want to and when I don't want to I sit and watch our neighborhood eagle fly around or the hawks.  I love it when the little sparrows are swooping down on the deck getting their meal. H^^

I actually think its quite a good video to watch, and have several times now.  Its a reminder of how things were, and to some extent still are.  I liked the term in the video, referring to the stunt pilots, as the "sky painters".    I just wish there were more people involved in CL aviation these days.

Once the FAA and AMA do their thing we may see more coming into control line and also telling the minority that a little noise isn't bad if it entertains the kids. H^^
