If you are looking for something good to what on TV.... turn the thing off! Nothing worth watching.
Hook up your computer to that big screen TV and tune into Control Line Videos.
So he will never win a Golden Globe Award, but it sure beats the garbage that pours out of the cable box.

And a few more if you want to look under CL Guy. I still have a stack and it is going to take some time. Poke me if you want them uploaded faster. I now just upload them after I watch them to try and keep the copyright police at bay. Seems Windy likes all types of music and it plays in the background. Pisses CR police off I guess. To me it is just background noise.
I like the ones with John D and Rich.... they crack me up sometimes. LL~

Up load more I have watched them all.

I will try and pick up the pace commander. H^^

Please post the ones that Windy did on building stabs and on detailing out a cockpit. They are really good. Anyone who wants to build a really light tail or wants to build an instrument panel and etc. for a cockpit should review these.

Hey Scott,
I have uploaded some of those some time ago under my rootbeard account. I will see if I can find them.
Here is the lastest one I did on the Novata.

Paul,
Can you load the 90 tank tape 775 that shows the final tank construction and test?
Best, DennisT
-
Paul, just letting you know that the first one on foam tails is heavily courrupted. I felt like I was watching David Lynch meets Windy! The audio is about 5-6 seconds out and there are random glitches here and there.
But, please don't take it as a personal attack. These videos have been extremely educational, and I hope more appear in time.
Thanks again for taking the time to upload them.

Hey Dennis
I will go in search of the DVD and up load it. It's going to take two days before I can go upstairs to look. We had the stairs refinished and the dope has to dry. LL~
Greg thanks for the feed back. Some of the earlier videos I uploaded where from very old VHS tapes so they did have a few bad spots. Also was using freeware to rip the tapes and it took a few different try's before I found one that seem to resolve the audio. Thanks again for watching. Drop Windy a note to let him know you are enjoying his adventures. ;D
Maybe we can get a his whole collection uploaded and preserved for future generations.

Paul - thank you for taking the time to upload these! Lots of good stuff in there.

Paul,
Thanks for uploading these, do you know what the last project was that Windy did?
Best, DennisT

I think it might have been the Tribute plane to peeps. That is just a guess.
I will ask.

Windy's last project was his Big Job.
-
Windy said Big Job or Tribute could not remember due to old age. ;D
Matt's mind is a little younger.
-
Id love to see Video of Pauls B17. Is that on any of those Windy tapes ?
-
Hey PJ
Yes there are two videos that I know I uploaded with flights.
-

Matt's mind is a little younger.
Tribute came in 2009. I saw Windy fly it at Brodak in terrible winds and nearly lost it in the vertical 8. Luckily he saved it. That winter he built a Big Job and took it to VSC. He flew classic and OTS with it. If I remember correctly, he had a RO-Jett 61 stuffed in the nose. I remember watching him fly it and that plane yawed like crazy with the big prop he out on the front of that.

I had never seen his Videos until Paul uploaded them. I have watched them all and I must say he is a master craftsman! The only draw back windy has is (well 2) He builds them like freight trains and loves to stand too close to the paint can. But his techniques are a cut above. I am starting to use the ones that are better then how I use to do things. Trust me when I say this they are worth watching!
If you see this Windy. Start building again.

I've becoma a Windy-video freak....

Can any one tell me were I can get one of the Ro-Jett .76 exhaust stack Windy shows in his repair Novanta video? I like the double tube exit design.
-
It was a custom header made by a friend of Windy's. Rich got one too for his Stuka.
Might could get a RE header and take it to a welding shop?
-
Header - Scott Dinger I don't have a number but could be in PAMPA.

Paul,
Thanks so much for posting these. I watched the conclusion to the 90 tank video 775. I am the Dennis Toth he is talking about for the foam molded tank. In the late 90's early 2000 I flew here in FL with Wayne Trivan, he developed the mold techniques for carbon props using the Epon resin. I was originally from NJ and flew with the GSCB and that's how I met and became friends with Windy. At the time I had numerous occasions to travel back to NJ so I would stop at Windy's. I told him about the molded props that Wayne taught me to make. He was interested in talking to Wayne. I had Wayne call him and Wayne gave him the molding information. Wayne also did some pipes and tanks using the same Epon resin (Epon is very stiff and temperature resistant and what Wayne had in the shop). Wayne made some tank molds for Windy and that's how he got into the CF tank stuff. I was trying to get a simpler way of making custom shape tanks and tried the pink foam. This worked and on one trip to NJ brought a sample to show Windy. This was the balloon method over the pink form and melt out. I got away from molding for some time but it is interesting to see how Windy took it to the next step. I may do one for my current project as I need to save some weight and the old tank was 2 1/2 oz.
Thanks again.

Paul,
OK thanks for posting 776 on the 90 tank. He almost got to the flying, any chance you have 777. It would be interesting to see how the rectangluar tank worked near the end of the flight.
Thanks again, DennisT

Thanks Dennis for the update. I just like catching up on things like this. I feel like I kind of know some of these people in the videos because I watched many hours and got a peek into there adventures.
Some of the videos I can't upload because I have found a few more with copyright stuff.
I will look for 777 and if I can will get it uploaded soon.
Don't change the channel... Stay tuned. H^^

I'm glad I don't have that voice anymore!!

Paul,
Any chance you have tap 778. That would finish off the Novanta setup tests, maybe even the NATs.

Hey Dennis
I will look but my guess is Windy put some copyright stuff on the tape and YouTube does not allow that.
I have ran across a few of those and I don't upload them.
Got slapped once by the CR police. n1
