No, he is not coming back. Windy is heavily involved in his motorcycle business and carousing with his grandson Miles. Miles is starting to look at his planes though!!

I wasn't implying that there was anything wrong with 5th.  To finish in the top five as many times as Windy did is an incredible accomplishment shared by only a few of the nations best!
That said you can't argue with the statement that He owned 5th!!!

That doesn't mean that it can't be a little funny at times!!!   LL~ LL~ LL~

I watch Windys motorcycle stuff. I know plenty about motorcycles and I will say this when he's working on the paint jobs and at his train set he mentions airplanes a lot. My best bet is he will be back sometime we all do.

People forget that Windy has placed as high as second, as has garnered MANY third places. It is not that he placed fifth, it is that he has been IN the top five over 20 times!!!

Not counting all the concours awards he has collected.   A very funny guy when he is not in competition mode.

No one who was active during the time forgets. Windy may have been the last person to be competitive with the strictly "Walker Trophy is at the bottom of a fuel can" philosophy. I never once had any significant problem with Windy as a competitor, he was tough and deserved the many high placings he got.

The "other stuff" is water under the bridge at this point.
