Wichita Contest

It was really cookin' in Wichita. I think it was around 100 both days. A great dinner was provided on Saturday night and it was held in a local community center out of the heat. Here's a few pictures from the contest.

Hey Elwin, is that the only photo you shot of my Score, I was demonstrating during a practice flight how not to land when the wind was blowing, think you got that on the 3rd or 4th bounce  LL~ LL~ LL~

It was a fun contest, Saturday evening feast was fantastic and was able to say hi to many friends I haven't seen in a while. Ya it was hot but worth the trip.

Nice photos Elwyn. To bad the camera can't capture the pleasent temp's. Tucker and I had a great time and I was very proud of him for breaking 200 for the first time. Won't be long and he'll be whipping my butt.

Sure wish I could have been there,  had other things come up.  You did say it was windy?  It was dead calm here in the KC area.  Temps over 100 degrees Fri, Sat and Sun.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Not Elwin but, yes Marvin made it but didn't fly because he was working making it posible for the rest of us to fly. Thank you Marvin and the bunch that worked so we could have fun..

The only photo I shot was of the scores from the circle I was flying on.. Sorry didn't get the other results, maybe Elwin or someone else did..

Here's a couple you might like better. I kind of like the more unusual shots though. I didn't take any of the scoreboards. I was so hot all I could think about was getting enough to drink and setting in an air-conditioned car during the trip home.

Great pictures Elwyn; I think that was the hottest contest I have ever been to. We all had a great time anyway. Thank you for posting the pictures, and thanks to all the people who made the contest and food possible.
