Why no control line is in the May MA Magazine

Page 6 Jay Smith "We support your aero modeling interests"  I E-Mailed him and an this is his reply :Hi Guy,

Thanks for sharing you concerns with me. You may have missed this part of my column:

"If you would like to see more content about the part of the hobby you are passionate about, then I urge you to consider contributing an article or encouraging someone you know that can contribute."

Unfortunately, we don't receive many article submissions covering Control Line and Free Flight. If I had more, you would see them published in the magazine.

Thanks!

Just last week, I mailed a letter to Editor of Model Aviation.  Included was a 1 page description of my stunter, a 1 page autobiography and 3 photos.  This is the first step, according to MA "author's guide".  If they express interest, I will complete the plans (80% ready) and write up a construction article.

My last published article in MA was for my WILDMAN 60 OTS stunter.  Bob Hunt expressed interest in this plane at a prior Tucson VSC.  When I approached MA with an offer to submit, they accepted at once.  I'm sure Hunt had much influence on their decision.

I am still waiting for a response from MA.  I have had rejections from other magazines in the past, and a letter of rejection appeared very quickly.  Either MA has trash-canned my letter, or else they are still trying to decide.

I think my 2014 design, now called "Neptunea" *(s unique, even though the "numbers" are quite modern, and with no building surprises.)  It is built for a RO-JETT 61.

* (Neptunea= the planet Neptune + an added "A" to give it a feminine character.)

it was also pretty lame that only the scale guys got credit for the "burden" of additional numbering on their models in the FAA article...

that the numbers "ruin the look" on a scale ship.

no single mention of control line and how they are MECHANICALLY LINKED to the pilot....

Reread the original post.  I as guilty as anyone of not sending any thing to Model Aviation or the district reporters. D>K
