1) Because he didn't want me to be the only one this year to do a minus 1" altitude inverted pullout over asphalt during an official flight at a contest  .
2) Because, being a fearless competitor, he pushed himself and his plane to the limit in difficult wind conditions.
3) Because he paid the price, as many of us have, for bending the rule to not make changes to flight equipment (in this case, handle line spacing) just before an official flight.
4) Because his beautiful plane, which was originally named "Harbinger" and later renamed "Hamburger" by Sparky, will now be known as "Ground Sirloin"  .

It's OK Crist, we still luv ya  . Can't wait to see your upcoming PA 75 powered creation.

Because he won the not so coveted Black Feather award for the best (worst) crash at the Broken Arrow contest here in St. Louis 

Good news was the Harbinger lived to fly again! 

Thanks for coming and competing in our contest Crist!

And thanks for all those who braved the questionable weather and made our contest this year a record-breaking one!

As I was getting dressed Sunday morning, I had a nice black shirt neatly folded on top (then I remembered the feather) dug deeper for the green Tee. I was flying my Twister on the donut (had a couple touch-and-goes myself) when I heard the splat, didn't find out till later, sorry for you luck...

Had a great time, special people doing the things that they love. Aways feel @ home with the Es quadrille's. My boys loved the trophy, maybe I can get one of them to come next year, thanks Bob and the crew...
