Knee deep snow on the fairly flat roof, doors being pinched and rain in the forecast. A recipe for disaster. And the straw that broke my back.

Amen! I don't miss the Boston winters. I do miss hockey, and the Bruins...but not enough to go back! The coldest of cold in MS is just as cold, but the time frame is so much shorter.

When I was at Keesler for Morse Code Tech School, I can remember standing in formation and watching the spit shine polish on my boots melt.
Remember the sweat too Floyd.

Post by: EddyR on February 01, 2019, 04:23:50 PM: I left mid upstate NY Catskills area in 1972 after 32 years of record snowfalls and -30 . Lived in Florida 30 years ,hot sweaty. Moved to NC 2002. Best of everything cold.hot,sweaty. with 9 months of real great weather in there also. I still like NY and Florida for vacations. I love Arizona and Utah but I guess I will never live there. Now I live in a tiny town no one ever heard of Locust NC.
