Knee deep snow on the fairly flat roof, doors being pinched and rain in the forecast. A recipe for disaster. And the straw that broke my back.

Amen! I don't miss the Boston winters. I do miss hockey, and the Bruins...but not enough to go back! The coldest of cold in MS is just as cold, but the time frame is so much shorter.

MS means Mississippi. My fondest recollection of MS, at Keesler AFB. The summer was so hot and humid, the sweat rolled down my arm and corroded my nice Bulova watch. Do you wear your watch outside your sleeve?

When I was at Keesler for Morse Code Tech School, I can remember standing in formation and watching the spit shine polish on my boots melt.
Remember the sweat too Floyd.

I left mid upstate NY Catskills area in 1972 after 32 years of record snowfalls and -30 . Lived in Florida 30 years ,hot sweaty. Moved to NC 2002. Best of everything cold.hot,sweaty. with 9 months of real great weather in there also. I still like NY and Florida for vacations. I love Arizona and Utah but I guess I will never live there. Now I live in a tiny town no one ever heard of Locust NC.
