This is my new Sterling Yak-9 with an old Fox Stunt 35. I posted extensively about building it over at SSW and CEF, but since Wayne and I spontaneously blurted out Shug imitations I figured I should post it here LL~. I bet everybody in the Control Line world with at least one funny bone in their body says Whooo Buddy at least once every time they fly.
I maidened it with a couple of unsuccessful fuel feed runs back in the Spring, and was too busy to get back to it. But I finally tried another tank, uniflow with a bottom feed line and it ran great. So while I'm showing it off to whoever will watch, here she is. I thought I had the needle set right when I launched but it was obviously too lean, but it made for a great flight. I just was over conservative expecting it to run out of gas way too soon.

Whoooooo Buddies back-atcha. Zippy lil' flight there.
I am truly hoping to get down to that circle in October for the Criterium. Mix it with a visit to my sisters in Charlotte. Eat some BBQ and go backpacking the next week. Sounds like a dream trip.

That would be marvelous, I'd love to meet you. My flying buddy and stunt coach Wayne is also a member of the Huntersville club. He reads our posts here but leaves all the yackery to us. We were talking about you yesterday and clowning around when the Whooo Buddies broke out. Great fun.
Most of the videos of my flying are at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC near my home.
See you in the funny papers.
