I recently purchased an older second hand C/L stunt model with AMA #20934 on it. Can anyone tell me who that AMA number belongs to, or had belonged to? The person that I bought the model from has no idea who actually built the model. I'm not sure, but I believe there's a good chance that the builder may have been from the Milwaukee, WI area.
Thanks! H^^

Dave Trible?

Yes that would be me. I have no idea what airplane you have though. Quite a few around.

Dang, Dave your name sounds familiar, I wonder how I know you.
Walt Gifford
Well, not sure but maybe old magazines. I ran a kitting business for a few years, started competing again a few years ago, wrote a column in the earliest Stunt News and have been doing the webcast of the Nats and team trials for a couple years. Ring any bells?

Hello Dave, I just sent you a PM...
-
How about you post a picture of the plane? H^^
-
Hope he will. Found out its a semi-scale Grumman Avenger stunter I did 8-10 years ago with PA .40. A neat ship.

I found this photo of its sister ship, a Zero. There was a third airplane in this 'C' series as I called it, a Nakajima 'Jill'. The Zero is still out there somewhere. It was sold to the the same business owner in Omaha who wanted to hang them in the entry hall to his business, as I was told. The 'Jill' met its maker ( me) when I extracted the wing to use on something else.

That's our Dave Trible. I need to get the "Music" built I got when he still was trying to be a manufacturer. Great designer and if I remember right he would build a plane a year.
-
I'll post some good of pics of it when I get it home. I've got to make a trip to Milwaukee to pick it up, 300 miles one way. Stay tuned...
Thanks for the help here guys! H^^

Dave, I suspect there are a number of people who would like to see the Profile Sukhoi rekitted again or at least full size plans.
Thanks

Wayne I don't really have ambitions to make many kits again..... Maybe I'll do a few after I retire in a few years. I can and will make copies of plans and mail out. My actual cost would be around 17-18 bucks so let's say 20. Only MY designs.... won't tread on anyone else's work.
Dave
Maybe a couple exceptions. If I make kits again, other than my own designs I'll surely make a Shark .15 kit and maybe some other smaller classic like the Peacemaker. There is a void in these sized airplanes.
-
He does great plans also. His Shameless plan was sent over seas.

Doesn't Brodak do the Shark .15 now?
-
Didn't think so but will look.
Dave
No I didn't see the Shark .15. They have a Shark 402 but its nothing like the McFarland Shark series.
-
Saw that airplane for sale on Craigs list locally. Did not buy it as I have too many airplanes now. Don't know the owner, and he is not in our club.
When you swing through here, let me know.

I picked up the Avenger today. It's a really cool model and in a little better condition than I expected. I'll post some pics after I get it home.
Later in the afternoon I met up with local flyer Dave Siegler for a bit of airplane talk over some food and a few beers. Nice little weekend trip. y1
