I hope to show up at Marietta on friday afternoon. Hopefully we get some nice weather this year!
-
C-ya there buddy! I hope we get a good turn out! hint hint to all that live in driving distance! ;)

Tom had a list of motels in his flyer; has anybody checked them out or know from previous years who's who?
I'd like to find a place with honest-to-gosh in-room working Internet -- often advertised, rarely reliable in my experience.
Suggestions? Or places to avoid?
Larry Fulwider
Oh, yeah; and reasonable rates

Planning to be there.

Well, I would avoid the Scottish Inn AT ALL COSTS!!!!! :X
Ask Tysor about the time he and I stayed there at a contest.
I'm staying at the La Quinta for 42.00 a night I think. Don't know about their internet setup....

Mapquest shows seven or so Lockheed facilities in the same general area of Marietta. Based on Tom's "map of straight lines" on the flyer, the parking lot we want is at
86 S. Cobb Dr. ???
That is the Lockheed Technical Info Center?? If so, I can load the above address into the Tom-Tom when I go.
Thanks :)

Edit: Wrong address. See later post

If I had the cash, I could be there in one day. With the family Chattanooga is only 12 hours. I make better time by myself, need to add Sandy as she loves traveling. Have fun guys/gals and hope the weather smiles on ya. H^^

The address of the building is 800 Walker St SE after fiddling some more. The vacant parking lot appears right on Cobb Dr from the picture -- just like Tom's straight line representation on the back of his flyer -- with the building further down (South) on Walker St.
C'mon, locals, help me out. :D That is, is the 800 Walker the address to use in my GPS?

I don't know the address. I just leave the hotel, turn left on Cobb or whatever it is, and the parking lot is on the left after you come up the hill...
-
I plan to go down Saturday morning . It will be great to get away for a weekend of flying

Larry, once the GPS machine gets you where it says you are supposed to be. Roll down the window and listen for engines running or look to if planes are flying. LL~ LL~ LL~You guys/gals have fun for the ole DOC. H^^
