Title: Who's going to make reports from Tucson?
Post by: Jim Pollock on March 17, 2009, 04:24:51 PM
Well,

With VSC going on this week, us stuck at home types would like to know what has happened during each day of competition?  Anyone out there with a laptop that can do the reporting????

Jim Pollock, Stuck at home again!

Give em time.  Some are still sorting out planes and today was first day of Old Time.  I finally got a decent flight out of the "13".  DOC Holliday

I don't know if David Russum went this year. He usually posts some great photos over on SSW.

Yep, David Russum is here.  He was taking pix all day today (Day #1).  I'm sure you'll see some soon.

Here are the top scores, Tuesday, except for the last two flights on Circle 2.  I don't know what their scores were.

Circle 2 Group1

Scott            297
Capitanelli      295.5
Trathum        302.5
Callentine      301.5
Gilbert           319.5   ignitiion
Bickhaus        307.5
Hoffman         313.5
Duffy             311.5

Circle 3 Group 2

Trostle             304
Wogast             300.5
Berry               311
Smiley              303
Lee                  307
Black                307.5
Toth                297.5
Rhoades            302
Whitely             323.5  beautiful flight
Sizemore            310

We were through before noon today.  Temps were warming up today.  It is going to get hotter and the density altitude will have an adverse effect on high wing loaded planes.  Looks like the top ten places will have to score above 300 Wednesday. There was some really good flying today.

Woo! Hoo! Joe got second in Old Time a 1/2 point behind Whitely, and 3rd in ign. He flew his Humongous with the Anderson Spitfire 65 in both events.  Congratulations Joe Gilbert.
