We have been getting alot of e/mails and phone Calls concerning the Huntersville Contest Oct 20 and 21 ... Who's Coming?

I am going to try to be there with a few kits and stuff to sell. Just trying to decide about my motor home or staying in a motel. Last time I couldnt stay on the grounds overnight and parked at the fish place parking lot

I'll be in Atlanta on business thru noon Sat, and plan to high tail it to Huntersville from there, meaning I may get there in time for some late practice Saturday, and fly with you guys Sunday.

I'll be there Friday, also, Willis Swindell, John Tate, Artie Jessup, Jimmy Paul, John Rakes and probably Bill Ballinger.

Jim,

Yes you have to bring the trophy back. But , if you are flying Advanced , maybe you can keep if for another year.

Same as last year you will have some good Advanced Level competition to make you earn it ...

Yeah Jim, there is a cat from the Sunshine State that just might carry that trophy back with him! That being the case, you ought to bring it back to the contest.

BTW Steve, just to change the subject. How is your Avanti comming along? I also would like to know how much tip weight your running. And yes William I will be there with the whachamacallit. I dont want to jinks myself. Hope its not windy. I cant fly in wind. Im chicken. HA.

The Avanti trim is improving, but It might not be quite ready for Huntersville. Right now it has 1.75 oz tipweight, and I'm going to test it on 63' lines down from the 64 I'm currently running.

I will be there as I live only 25 miles from the field. I will be there early Thursday and Friday if anyone is looking for someone to help them trim.

Shelly and I will be there as you already know. I'm hoping my good friend Bud Wieder and his family from NJ are going to make it down. I was talking to Bob Z tonight and he is going to try to make it. Shelly's son Kyle and his fiance` Kathleen along with her family may attend as well. It's always a great contest and I know I'm looking forward to it.

I wish I could find time to go but.work scheduele will not let me.They tell me (7) days a week
isn't enough. Well I guess somebody has to build the full size models for the war machine.

I'll be driving down Saturday morning from Wendell near Raleigh. I think it's about 3 hours so I should be there about 10 or so.
