Title: White Lightning
Post by: Dwayne on May 06, 2010, 11:46:23 AM
Started a white lightning, a slick looking 1/2 A from plans I downloaded here. So far I'm happy it's a bit bigger than any other sheeted wing plane I've built and I thought there might be some wing tip flex but the plans call for stiffeners so I don't see that being a problem. So far wieght is 6.3 oz. so finished it should be right around 8.5 oz. more than light enough for a Teedee .051 to fly it with no problems, I'll be sure to post a flight report when it's finished.
Thanks
Dwayne

Several folks recorded that song. I liked 'em all.  ;D

True story: Went home on leave (Lexington, KY) for the Christmas of ~1963, and at a friend's house we were having egg nog spiked with Moonshine. Heckuva hangover next day. Fun!

Oh yeah...I think the White Lightnin' performed fine in its original configuration, if I remember the posts correctly.

The White Lightning looks great.  I was going to complainabout having to pay for my plans of the plane but,  they were worth it. H^^

I got my license in 1977 and my first car was a white/red 1976 Ford LTD with a 351 Cleveland Police Interceptor.  My CB handle was White Lightning .... that car was fast-fast-fast!  <=
