Title: Where to find old vintage stunt model plans from AAM 60-80s

Over the years....since the demise of AAM I keep getting requests for my old American Aircraft Modeler July 1974 issue AVENGER stunt model Plans?

Unfortunately I never received the original plan back or even the orignial negatives or photos...since they were published?

Sadly, I have given away all my Avenger plans...except one...that I cut up and used for the FAI Avenger. Bob Hunt made me the most beautifully perfect perfect perfect set of wings for that airplane which were nothing short of a COLLECTORS PIECE OF ART! 
 
Also I have lame-aldo lost my original mylar plans for my next project for my SEAHAWKER 46 than never got beyond another beautiful foam wing. Although I never felt that I should try to publish an unproven design until it had been competition tested...and worthy of reproducing.

It is horrifical'...that my lame brain is so demented that I can't for the life of me...find that old Seahawk or FAI Avenger mylars. (My beloved CEO CFO MisseeeeMaaaasa! must have thrown out those with the trash, when we moved...(NAW! THAT IS AN EXCUSE!)
Guess it's time to get out the old INK and RAPID-O-GRAPH PENS AGAIN, HUH?

The main difference from these Avenger plans.... and the 2nd Avenger was that the nose was slightly shorter and wing had a cut out to allow for the larger .46 sized tank plus the below the body sub-dorsal fin's outline was brought straight back without tapering. (shown in color photo) which not only gave a better horz. line eye view for accenting straight line maneuvers but also gave a little more side area in the aft end to give a little more line tension in some spots, (which really didn't seem to make much difference after all.

I am sure you are aware that the AMA purchased the John Pond plans collection and now have a plans service with a significant listing.  To some degree, I understand that the AMA has augmented that with plans from their archives of American Modeler, American Aircraft Modeler and Model Aviation.

I just checked and could not find your Avenger listed.  The Avenger was published in the July 1974 issue of American Aircraft Modeler.  You might contact the plans service people there at AMA headquarters to see if they might have the plans somewhere in their system.  I think you will find that they try to be quite helpful.

It would be a shame if really good copy of your design is no longer available.  Also, that article is one of the better ones that has been published and should be on most recommended reading lists.

PS: I have 2 brand new 46VF's so I'll supply the engines. We will have to get the venturies , pipes , or short pipe mufflers from Randy.

At least I know all that GLUE&DOPE hasn't changed you! You're just as funny and demented as ever. You always made the bad times and the future  look a lot better
to me when I neede it as a young SNOT NOSED teenager as my buddy Bob Lee use to call me.
