Beebe, Arkansas.  Go to Little Rock...tune in an AM Country station...drive Northeast until the radio starts to crackle and pop...take the next exit...turn left and you're there.

It is in your profile just no one uses it. It says where are you from. There is also a place for a signiture where you could add your flying club and local. If everyone would just use the tools available.

Heading back to work July 5 at waterworld.  My rebuilt apartment is right on the levee that broke.  At least the sailboat is ready if we have to leave again.  Love electric foamies and big electric 3d but still fly an Al Amerian Senior with a muffled Johnson in competition when I get the chance.  Got an original Thunderbird with a K&B stallion muffled that flies well too.  The shark(ST 45) and elliots p-40(a fox what else) round it out for me.

We take electricity for granted.

We also have the Titan Pro football team( everyone has a cross to bear)
It is against the law to fly control line in Davidson County(nash) except at
One park 8-5 Mon. -fri only , No  weekends.
The park dept. talked with AMA about building a new site; When asked where they should put control line ,;it is reported ama said to forget about control line
Ama will still be glad to except your donations , not to worry.

What? No comment to Charlies statement that the AMA told the local Parks Board to forget about CL.
It really happened.
And in a room full of witnesses.

In addition to only flying during the week ,you can only fly from 9:30 to 2:30 and have to appear in person at the Parks Board during working hours to obtain a permit with photo at the cost of $20.00.

They really want to make the Park available to the public.

Also they will not allow any type of combat plane or race type to fly ,the Rangers will appear and escort you off of the property.

This is occurring on property that was donated to the city for the specific use of model flying.

Post by: Jim Pollock on May 26, 2006, 03:57:13 PM
Marshall,

If it was donated with the specific intent for model flying and the city/county isn't letting that happen, then the donor should take it back and make it a private model flying park!

In the mean time R/C is still being flown there, so as far as the Park Dept is concerned they are meeting the requirements  of the original donation.

Hi!
I am new to this forum and am a retread that grew up flying 1/2A control line aircraft. Later on I moved on to R/C, but as I have always been fascinated by C/L I have decided to make a new beginning in C/L stunt.

On the building board right now is a SIG Banshee that I found in my cellar.
I thought I had given all C/L stuff away, but I was wrong  :)

Presently I live in Uppsala, Sweden (aerial photo) (http://kartor.eniro.se/query?&what=map&mop=yp&imgmode=1&mapstate=6%3B17.638121728238925%3B59.8581536136609%3B0%3B17.617093320171065%3B59.86784333535817%3B17.659150136306792%3B59.848521037392004).

St Peter, Minnesota I was born in the hospital here and stayed my whole life. About 100 miles from Minneapolis Piston Poppers where I'm a member. Don't get to fly there much. I fly here on land that is for a cemetery. The people in the cemetery don't ever complain. Now as the minnesotamodeler knows, if we can get old man winter out of here we can get back to flying.

BayTree huh way up there still you must be rootin for the Flames,I was raised in Toronto  ~^  HB~> Please feel my pain  HB~>  :(  Oh well next year. Boston ,Mass.  I have had the extreem good fortune to have lived many places where no modelers lived and moved out of them just as a bunch of modelers showed up.  Of course I always moved to a place where no modelers existed.  My most recent move was to Atlanta Ga where darn few modelers are active in spite of Randys presence and the Marietta club. In Atlanta it is 60 0r 70 miles to anywhere. There could be 100 modelers here and none closer than 40 miles from you.  It is just as close for me to drive to Anniston Alabama and fly with Tom Morris. He has at least a dozen good sites to fly on the Army base and has no one to fly with unless they come from out of town. n~ HB~>

Hey Ed...
Flying Buddies shouldn't be that much of a problem in Snellville GA.  That's the home of Aero Products, Randy Smith, and his wonderful PA Engines etc.   Contact him at AeroProducts he should be able to give you some names and He's a great stunt filer and one of the best sources of info for engines and stunt planes around!

UUHHHHHHH....Ed,
Sorry about that...Aeroproducts is actually in Dacula GA.  Not sure how close that is to Snellville.  I seem to remember Randy Smith was in Snellville and then moved several years ago...MAYBE!  He probably can still give you some contacts.

Near Wichita Falls, Texas....hottest, windiest place on earth...so it seems. Moved here 10 years ago and am one of only 2 cl flyers in this city of 100,000+. Though a circle exists in a city park, it is dangerous to use as most people have no idea they should stay out of the way. Both of us live in the country and have our own circles (albeit with huge cracks in the earth and brown grass that crackles when you walk on it).

Randy, that's too bad.  I don't have anywhere I can fly consistently, either.  But that's not because I don't consistently have somewhere to fly.

(I consistently fly -- quite inconsistently -- at McIver Park just west of Estacada, Oregon, outside of Oregon City, Oregon, which is a short drive southeast of Portland, Oregon).

Glad to see I am not the only "gypsy" out there.  I started in Bell Gardens, CA (just outside LA); Oahu, Hawaii (courtesy USN); Marysville, CA (near Sacramento); San Jose, CA; Santa Maria, CA (near Santa Barbara); Dublin, CA (bay area); Jacksonville, OR (just across the border from Calif.); and finally Cottage Grove, OR (near Eugene where I fly with the Eugene Prop Spinners.)

There were, of course, numerous addresses at these "approximate" locations.

I started flying control line in about 1951 or so.  Quit in about 1953 or so, and finally started back in Sept. 2008.

I'll second Floyd's invite for any of you to fly with us if you are in the neighborhood.  We can provide an airplane if needed.

Graduated from North Miami Senior High in 1965 and grew up a few blocks from a past control line stunt world champion (he graduated from the same high school in 1964) and I was later stationed overseas in the same Aircraft Structural Repair Shop as the same past world champion. I'm in Cowansville, Quebec, Canada! Just 20 minutes north from the Vermont border.
I'm certainly interested in meeting up with Vermont flyers also! I feel like I'm the only one who flies in Quebec. :(
