 Robert;

   I talked to him on the land line last week. He is fine just has a lot to do right now. He is newly retired and like all of us when it happened it takes a "little" getting used to. When I talk to him again I will tell him to check in.

I know what that means. My wife just retired in Feb. I haven't seen her as much as when she worked. Now we are doing far more traveling. I like it when she is gone, so I can get some planes built. Once a person retires, they try to do a thounsand things at once. Takes aobut 6 months for them to calm down. #^ <= y1 LL~ H^^

6 months, I wished... Been over a year and I'm still running around like a chicken with my head cut off.. Have no idea how I ever got anything finished when I was working...

Hi Guys,

Got a WHOLE lot going on.  The State cannot get my retirement right, so I am going on two months behind in checks.  I also am having the roof replaced and vinyl put on the wood sections of the house.  About time since I started getting leaks.........

I hope everyone is ok.  And I will be around more real soon.  I only get to check in every now and then, but that will improve.  Several things have happened since I retired and I just have to get things under control.   Thanks for thinking of me!

Not me.. I've been retired for quite a while, and I have developed doing nothing into a science.. And I certainly do not need or seek any help..  H^^

   Missed you at the NATs meeting, too, and we were a little worried when no one could get in touch.  We literally had a hard time finding someone to replace you! Steve was volunteered in abstentia but he was willing, to there you go.

Bill   Soon we will be getting together. I quote you "when I retire Z@@ZZZ"  Sounds like you have a full plate for a while. That is pretty normal when one first retires. One thing that happened to me after retiring was I became interested in a lot more things and modeling was not so important. Many people say when they retire they are going to build a lot more but they  find out there is much more to life than building model aircraft. Bill and I live about 100 miles apart and neither of us has been to the others house. Thats my fault more than Bill's.

Hi Brett,

I did inform everyone that I could not attend the NATS (a copy of that email to the EC list should still be in my sent file, but then, again, even if I had a really excellent point to make, I would be overlooked until someone else made the SAME POINT).  I also could not contact anyone who would stand in for me  (why do you think that "We literally had a hard time finding someone to replace you! ??).  I had sent an email to Bill Rich about it all before the NATS, but he didn't receive it, and I didn't know that he did not receive it.

It was fun, and I am sure Steve (he has been a personal friend for several years, maybe that won't hurt him in the job) will be much better at inventing things to write about than I could since all that anyone in my District ever even contacted me about was the column in Stunt News.[/u]  Basically no news to submit, but a lot of questions as to why things were not in the column.  I had to write Bill and ask him if I had been fired.

BTW:  I feel that the PAMPA section here is the worst possible mistake that could be made, whether it is a separate section or not.  I love Sparky to death so I will support his decision of course, but I feel this is not a borad that has a need for such a section.  My very first talk with Sparky was that NO POLITICS would be allowed.  With a PAMPA section, politics is all that can be put in there.  There is nothing else to talk about ON THIS SITE concerning PAMPA except politics.

The reason that board was started was for new guys to ask questions like should I whip, how many laps etc.. It was not started to discuss the BOM. We could have done that in open forum till it got out of hand. If you think about it, its no politics at all, its rules that we have to follow.

I was hoping that we could discuss in a civil manor what should be changed and how to do it. But there are those few that want it their way or no way. So the pot gets stirred up. This will not happen. I my self want a part in our sports future. Unlike some I want to be part of the solution. Hence the separate section so that everyone not interested does not have to look at it. Its being discussed somewhere all the time.

If a person has a proposal put it up and lets fine tune it. So it gets passed if its a good idea.

I agree with Bill and I'm also glad you have now made it a seperate forum. Perhaps if you had called it "CLPA Rules Discussion" instead of PAMPA, you know since PAMPA has nothing to do with rules it might have gone better here.
