I ordered some of their sanding grips about a month ago.  They sent me a catalog and I have been drooling ever since.

Living up here in the Great White North, I've been a Lee Valley customer for years.  Their Veritas line of planes, spokeshaves and other tools are some of the best available.  I like the features alot better than anything else available.  They aren't as pretty as Lie Neilson but I really don't need for my woodworking tools to be pretty.  I leave that for my models.

Lee Valley's founder, Leonard Lee, wrote a wonderful book on how to sharpen stuff.  It is obvious that he is a tool nut himself.  I am planning a diversion to their Vancouver store when I go to a contest there.

Yes ,Lee Valley is my favorite store ,and there is one a few blocks from my house. Their catalogues are very nice and well worth getting.NOt only tools but a lot of odd stuff. Hot stuff,  epoxy ,handle tape, sand paper, fine oilless steel wool,Tinted safety glasses that go over spectacles,(great for flying, but you look like a nerd) and etc etc.
For american customers they list $US prices on line as well  Have a look ,very nice people as well.  Keith Varley
