Title: Where do you get your prop adapters???
Post by: Paul Taylor on July 28, 2024, 02:43:37 PM
I have been having a hard time sourcing prop adapters that fit.
Using a plastic spinner and wooden prop I don’t have enough threads. Or I find adapters with bullet nuts.
When I find them on hobby town or horizons hobby they don’t have the specs. It’s a crap shoot at best. A little help please.

Can't say.  However he can make just about anything I've ever asked for.  Call or send him an email.  I'd expect them to head to Muncie by next weekend.

Get the plastic spinners with the aluminum backplate and call it good. Plastic backplates are always problematic, whether for an electric motor or a good engine.  S?P Steve

Be sure to get the 3 year protection plan from Allstate for only $2.99 extra! Naw, don't. But, it would be interesting to see what compensation they offer when you mail in your prop adapter after it went into concrete at a 90 degree angle, and you can't get the nut off, so the prop shards are still firmly bolted on. Remember, you're in good hands with Allstate (palms down).   LL~ Steve

Perhaps the entire nose section. y1   If you can't get the prop nut off you can't get the spinner backplate off. HB~>   If you can't get the spinner backplate off you can't get to the mounting bolts for the motor. HB~>   So you have to send in the whole nose  :! but since you took out the insurance on the fiberglass cloth you ordered you might come out OK #^...or not! LL~

Most electric applications use an integral spinner/adapter and/or thin hub electric props.
