Regardless of the crap going on "over there" on another board, Lonestar is pretty much the standard amongst the balsa suppliers....and they have very good wood.
Riley Wooten, founder and still the overseer is a modeler first, and apprectiates those seeking the lightest woods...and the place has (I'm told) great selections.....I have also learned that ordering, say, 30" pieces if they'll work, might yield some better wood....

Lome Star it is.
I just Googled it and added it to my favorites. Tomorrow I'll make an order. I'll let you know how it goes for me.

I allways order from Lone Star for my scale planes. I have had nothing but great quality wood from them. You will be happy.

Mostly Lone Star.  But, if I need 4-6 lb., and Lone Star is out, I start calling around!  n~

Lone Star since 1977.

I just received a new order last week and got the light wood I requested.

I just got a foam Nobler wing from Crist Rigotti. So now I'll sit down and draw a model for P-40. I'll call Lonestar and see how it goes.

Like most folks say ,its Lonestar. Even when they say they
have no wood< light> it comes in about two weeks.
Very good luck with my orders over the last five years.

Frank: Yep, The home of the Jumbo Jack Hamburger that's Crist. He did a great job on the Jamison wing also.
