Title: Where did it go??
Post by: Gary Dowler on December 31, 2018, 11:04:57 AM
Ok, so exactly where did 2018 go?

I understand that as we age, each year represents a smaller percentage of our life experience, resulting in each year seeming to go faster.
But WOW!!  Where on earth did this year go?????  Yesterday was thanksgiving , last week it was Independence Day, and a month ago we were in Oregon!
This year seems as if the whole thing was about 4 months long.
If 2019 goes as fast I'd better start getting my hunting stuff ready tomorrow,  and Christmas shopping should start next week!!

It's Father Time's way of saying that everyone here needs to get going on that next C/L build, including myself.  ;D

Well you two youngsters think 2018 was fast, wait until you get to be as old as some of us.  I think now why did I rush time like I did in the past.   Like starting high school after graduating the 8th grade.   Then when I retired from the phone company and seen the changes during the 34 years of my life I spent with them.   Now I think was it really 2003 was when I took an early retirement.   But I look for an even better 2019 than 2018 for me any way.   So have a great New Year. H^^

The real speed ticket for me was losing so many of our group.  That REALLY accelerates my sense of time.  The more of those I know and love who move on to their next life the faster it goes.
With Christ as my Savior I'm not afraid of dying, but I sure don't relish the thought of some of the ways it can happen.
However, come on 2019, gimme your best shot, I'm gonna have a blast.
