Title: Where are they?
Post by: builditright on April 11, 2006, 10:34:24 AM
When I was a teenager there were some really great stunt fliers on the east coast that basically just faded away into the woodwork and I was wondering does anybody know whatever happened to guys like Jim Casale, Glen Meder and so on?

Glen is about....his kids are flying a bit....between cl and rc....Karen is still a terrific gal....Glen has a big old wooden boat that keeps him busy...
Jimmy left about the time that the left coast began their huge influence on judging....winning was very, very important to him....I think he stopped flying in 1993? We knew where he was until a couple of years ago...he would re-surface and watch....

It's always the guys that lose that complain about the referee.

Walter

Jimmy had a lot going on in his life, He told me when he quit ,it was because he  needed to change his program and go to the newer motors, and he  didn't have the time to do this at that time.
He gave me much of his stuff to sell for him and most all his motors.
Jimmy said he didn't want the old stuff and  would  want  new  motors  when he  came back into flying.
At the time he  told me  he  wanted to  and  would  be  back  flying a little later when things got better for him.
He was  also moving back and forth from Florida  and  the Northeast.

I have not heard from him in a while, maybe someone  will let us know  how he is doing

Randy
