Are there any wheel pants out there that cause more drag then others?
I'm trying to find the ones that cause the most drag.

Steve: I'd just make my own. Check in the construction articles here on Stunthangar there should be dirrections. It's easy, even I can make them lol.

**) **) **) **) After discussing the aerodynamics of big Jim's Lj with Jose madesto i came to the conclusion that if i can add a little more drag to the air craft itself it wont ''dart'' through the maneuvers like it does.
you don't have to move the handle to turn the plane you just have to think about moving the handle and this plane is inverted!!!

I'm not an Aeronautical Engineer but... wouldn't the addition of drag this far from the CG present a whole new set of problems? Parasitic drag of which form drag is part usually the smaller of the drag forces on an airplane. I would think it's going to take some pretty wild looking "warts" to get what you want.
Is working with the controls and throw ratios a viable fix?

I am not sure where my earlier post went but I will repost it here.
What you are describing is almost certainly caused by:
1.) Too much handle spacing
2.) Too far rearward a C of G
3.) Improper control throw ratios (less likely)
4.) Too much flap
It would help if you would tell us what your handle spacing is? How far ahead or behind the plans drawn CG is yours? How far ahead or behind the spar is your CG? Have you actually measured to ensure that you have the correct control ratios?
You will not solve this issue by attaching wheelpants.

I would agree with all of that,but may I add one more thing? If you are not already using a hande with a bar, try one, the bar handles will help desesitize a plane.May only be a band aid to the real problem though.

Jim, that may be true for some planes, but, my "Falcon 35" I had at VSC last year did not tame down no matter what handle I used. I finally had to cut into the airplane and move the pushrod on the bellcrank as close as I could get it. Pushrod was 1 inch from center of hinge point of elevator. Needed more elevator still. DOC Holliday

Yea, I wouldnt think it would work on all planes, but it did work for me one time,but, if the plane is totally unflyable with a barless handle,then this little band aid trick probably wont work. Jim
