What to do when it rains all weekend...
« on: September 10, 2006, 06:10:58 AM »
Run a modelling class for the whole family!  My wife and kids purchased 3 Black Hawk Models and decided to build them this weekend since we couldn't go flying...

Here's some pics of the outcome.

And here's another pic of all three... My wife Gail's Pitts is going tol be a Hot Pink! with Frangipanis, Amy's Pitts will be orange and yellow, and Kayla's Fokker DR1 will be standard colors, red on top, blue underneath with a white fin.

I will post another photo when they are finished.  These Black Hawk Models are easy to build and a lot of fun for all the family as you can see.

Cheers

Way to go Warren. The Black Hawk kits are a lot of fun to build. There are a bunch of us here in Michigan that put a few together every year.
Thanks for the pix.

Hi Warren,

You're a lucky dog, mate!  y1 y1

A nice looking family that like the planes!  No trying to "sell" your hobby to the wife and kids is a BIG plus.  ;D  #^

Let's see the pictures when they are done and when they are flying!

If you didn't live so far away I'd say you are ready for our event on the 30th of Sept. With those three nice Walt Musciano designs. 8) 8)

I have just died and gone to heaven. If that isn't one of the best things I have ever seen on a hobby forum then, I don't know what is!! #^

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the nice remarks about my wonderful family. The girls still haven't painted their Musciano models yet, but I sure wish we could come along to the event on the 30th Sept.  Would be great.

After our recent run of bad luck, I sent my wife away for a weekend of pampering and relaxation at a health resort so she can de-stress even more.  I sure hope she feels much better when she gets home tomorrow.

We should be getting a new car next week, so I'll be able to go out flying again by next weekend I hope!

Cheers

What a neat thing, Warren! The girls get an insight into Poppa's pursuit, and you get some quality time with your honey and the princesses. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Warren, that looks wicked. Sure wish I could get my "better half" remotely interested in building and flying. Can't wait for the flight reports.
  Cheers, Rob.

That airplane is to pretty to fly now.  ;D You are going to have to build her a trainer to fly before that one. :D

Gail has flown a Cox PT19 once or twice before... she's not ready to fly this one yet... she needs a few more hours on the PT19 before she will fly this one, she knows that. But she had a great time building and painting this one so we should hopefully see more.
