Can anyone recommend a pencil grinder (and no, I don't mean a pencil sharpner... mw~)?  I added those little laser-cut rib holders to my wish list,  but there must be other helpful tools....

Scott,   This is what you wanthttps://www.ebay.com/i/122856305744?chn=ps
Click the link.  If it doesn't work, Google:  "Marathon III Micromotor".
The link I pasted above, is to one that is for sale for $69.99 and that is a steal.  it's a professional Dental quality model.
Although this unit is made in China, I have one and it's very nice, I love it.
Be careful, there are tons of lesser quality imitations out there that are total crap.  Some places sell the hand piece separate, so make sure it's included.
Also make sure the hand-piece is the 4 pin type (it's actually 3 and one is a locator).
I am also a wood carver (30+years, Duck decoys, Santas, etc) and I actually own this for the detail work on my wood carvings in Basswood or Tupelo.  It has plenty of power for Balsa also.
A purpose built Foredom Micromotor is about $300-350ish, so at $70, this Marathon III unit is a steal.
Do a Google on "Foredom Micromotor" - and you'll see, it's the same thing.
You won't regret getting this micro grinder.
