The red plane looks like a Supermaster while the bottom looks like a plane built by Dave Cook who traditionally calls his planes Lightings. Just a guess on my part though.

CHECK OUT THAT AMA NUMBER...I would think it was be a piece of cake to just run the AMA number that we see on the wing....
sadly, knowing just how little value on retaining ANY LICENSE #  HISTORY what so ever.....
I would bet  a Wooden Nickle that AMA also doesn't give a plug nickle's worth as to the history of that owner of that license # on the wing?
Hummmm?
Another sad snydrome of how little service or value, AMA has given to its dwindling numbers of members?
j1 Go ahead and shoot me.. f~  Forgive me for my unbelievable lack of understanding about our beloved and time honored organization.
Perhaps due in part to see the huge contrast  in differences...that my American Kite Assoication does for its membership...compared to my percieved idea our tattered old AMA.
GADS...my mornings Starbuck's fix....must be wearing off. Sorry for my flame job about our Sacrid'-Cow organization.

Thanks Ruddaman....
Forgive my senior moment about the post n~
Bye the way...that is a really beautiful maroon model.   Nice treatment on the body.
That mellow yellow one kinda reminded me of Bart Klapinski's 67 nats winning Tempest, or maybe even a Jerry Worth influnce to it also....
Humm.
I just re-read my rant about AMA...I am sure the organization  gives waaaaaaaay more back to the modeling members that just an overpriced secondary insurance and a snail-mail rag etc.

bad-bad donnieLee (see what being exiled in Gig haaaba, does to body-n'soul?  n~
