  Can any one shed some light on the shelf life of this product?  I use some to put on engine mounting bolts, and I don't need any safety problems.

     I've been using the same tube that I purchased back in around 2003 and it just fine.

I have some that was "out of date" 20 years ago and it still seems to work.  Fished it out of the garbage can at work.  However as of late I did buy a new bottle at my LHS.  It's cheep insurance.   y1
