Title: What is this OTS?
Post by: Steve Helmick on February 09, 2014, 01:28:21 PM
Found this picture of my friend Greg Davis (Port Coquitlam, BC), and wondering what the model is. I'm assuming it's OTS legal. Pretty clearly a GH Torpedo .29 or .35. Anyway, whatever it is, it looks like it oughta fly the OTS pattern pretty well...and it's not a Humongus, Jamison, or S-1 Ringmaster!  H^^ Steve

Some one with better computer skills than me could probably blow the pic up enough to read what is written on the left side of the nose. Might be a clue. Does the guy in the photo have any idea of the history of the airplane? Looks kind of J.C. Yates-ish. It could be some one's scratch built or kit bashed model from the time period. If it's old enough to be OTS, it sure is in real good shape, at least looks so in the photo. Keep us posted.
  Type at you later,

According to the Flying Lines website it's a Stunt Master. Clearly a different Stunt Master than the one from Black Hawk Models. Sounds like one of those names that could pop up on a half dozen different designs.

Dan,

If you are using windows XP or earlier, just hold the Ctrl key down, and roll the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in or out. Return to normal image size by holding the Ctrl key down, and pressing the number Zero at the top of the keyboard.

I just tried it, and still could not make out the letters on the fuselage, but my vision is not what it used to be.

Reminds me of a Jim Walker design! Can't come up with a name though!

Actually that works with Windows Vista also.  There isn't enough resolution in the photo however to read anything on the side.

I can't read the lettering either, but it could read Stunt Master.
