What happened to the Brothers of the Ring website???
« on: December 28, 2009, 02:11:35 PM »
I decided to check out the Brothers of the ring website, and used the link I always have, and it's not there.  Where did it go?

Here's the link I have been using www.brothersofthering.com  All I get when I type it in is web search from go-daddy  HB~>

Matt,
are you looking for the ringmaster site, or the plans, custom kit site?
the custom kit site is down, most likely permenantly. Pat and Dee can still be reached via email, but with Pats recent move and change in home life, it became a real time element and rather than not be able to promise timely  delivery, they are only doing custom orders as far as I have heard.

Correct. You can get in touch with them via PMs on the BHOTR site, or through email directly to them. The website is permanently gone.

Thanks for all your support over the years.  Yes, it is true, we have shut down the site.  I am getting married in two or three weeks and with the changes in my life, will not have nearly the time to devote to putting out kits and things.  In fact over the last couple of years, I have not finished my own Spitfire 626.  I hope this move will allow me a little more time for my own.  As a bachelor before, I could wile away the hours doing modeling stuff, but no more.  We will keep you all posted on how we will be able to provide a limitted service for those wanting plans, ribs, complicated formers.  The rest will be up to the builder to build.  Plans are still 100% available.

Congradualations on the upcoming wedding.  Now where are the pictures or are you afraid we might take her away.  If she likes your model planes and helps she a keeper.

Seems to me Mark that you have more than 109 in need of finish. I know where you live and what is hiding out there. I'm one to talk though. I've got a nice RM 526 just sitting in need of finish too.

The RM 526 kit I received from Pat last year had some first class laser cut parts!!

I can't get to the BHOTR site in any shape or form now. The Forums were still there at least until "New Years Eve" but now All I get is what appears to be the front end for a movie site. :(

Link I am using (As always) is.....

Is it just me?

Thanks in advance

Hi there.  I go to their site at least five times a day and have no trouble at all.  This is the link that I use

Hmm, thanks, all back again. Yep that's the link I was using as well, Ran CCleaner and cleared everything out of (Cookies, cache etc) and it's all back, must have been something funny on my end.  ???

Thanks again for the confirmation.

John.

I just got off the phone with another Brother having what sounds to be the same problem. He just rebooted his machine and was able to log in just fine. I haven't experienced it either on my end.
