What happened to Spring?
« on: March 28, 2009, 11:03:07 AM »
Old Man Winter decided to hang around a bit longer in Oklahoma this weekend. After some very warm days near 80 a short while back this comes as a bit of surprise. I don't think there will be much happening at Reeves Field this weekend. I'm glad the ground was warm or we would probably have seen a foot or so accumulate today.

yep, 43 degrees, rain and wind here (gee, that's a shock). Supposed to be 51 and semi clear tomorrow so maybe a bit of flying. We'll see.

Spring is here in Portland and you can tell by the raindrops in the puddles in front of my house. As Randy said partly sunny on Sunday but don't hold your breath. My moped is still in the Garage! HB~> HB~> HB~> HB~>

Sorry to report 76 degrees, CAVU, light winds in the San Francisco Bay Area. We badly need the weather you guys are getting in the rest of the country, especially the rain. Still, today was Stunt Heaven in my neighborhood.

I think Spring took the Stimulus and bailed out.

Yeah- what did happen to spring. Seems like it skipped us here in Central Florida and moved right to summer.

Yesterday it was 90, humid amd windy- almost too windy for the shuttle to land. Awoke at 5 am today with thunder crashing and lightning flashing- trees whipping and rain slashing. Seems like a summer day to me!

Hopefully the boss will send me back to Portland in a month and I can enjoy spring up there for a bit!

The drainage on the east circle is a little slow, but the center pad was dry and there were a few patches on the edges that were just moist. I only landed in the water once.

Spring had a brief comeback today and we got to fly! New plane isn't bad. A bit of trimming and it should be a nice addition to the the fleet.

Elwyn,  where's the floats on that plane?  Just think another month or two and we will be wishing for some of this rain.  Having fun,  DOC Holliday
