Stunt in Oceanside, CA

   A long time club member and friend here is going to be moving out west to Oceanside, CA early next year to spend his twilight years and be near his daughter. He was wondering about C/L activity in that area. I am not familiar with the city so looked it up on Mapquest and see that it's basically between San Diego and Los Angeles. WHat are his prospects of finding a place to fly in that area? Naturally, he would like to keep the drive as short as possible, just like the rest of us geezers! I have never been out there and no concept of what that area is like, so looking for any names, email addresses, flying fields and such. He's a pretty good trombone player also, so any places to jam a little would be nice also!

Dan, Charles Carter is in neighboring Escondido, about 20 miles from Oceanside,  good guy and member here.

A couple more possibles:  Charlie Johnson and Dave Sabon. Dave is over in Ramona, I believe. Not sure where he is flying.

Definitely make the trek to LA for events there. Closest would be Whittier Narrows. A bit farther would be Sepulveda Basin Apollo 11 Field.
