You use to thin finishing epoxy to brush into the engine and tank compartments, and how much do you thin it??
Equal parts like 1,1,1 or do you do it another way?
I have already put one coat in these areas and want to put in another.
I know also that using a hair dryer wil make it flow better..
What say ya'll ???????? T I A,

Thanks guy's I appreciate the info...... H^^

Be careful. Medicine-cabinet alcohol can have a lot of water in it which will affect the epoxy. I use denatured alcohol.

Correct!!!
Isopropyl Alcohol (91% to 97% Alcohol) not Rubbing Alcohol (70% Alcohol)

Have used both types of alcohol and also lacquer thinner.
When I had it I used Hobby poxy thinner.
No problems with any of it.
If it is going on foam or plastic use only the alcohols.
What ever you use you may think it will never cure, It will! just leave it alone till it does.

I just use the heat gun with finishing epoxy and skip the liquid thinner. Depending on the epoxy you have, heat alone gets it pretty thin. You can wipe off the excess with a paper towel. Of course you need some finesse in the heating department, you don't wanna make it gas off.
If you must use liquid thinner, forget the drug store and buy a gallon of denatured alchohol from Tony's or use a bit of Everclear from the liquor cabinet. If Fat Al and his gang get the upper hand, you'll be able to siphon off a little from the fuel tank of your Smart Car.
