Cox International glow plugs

 I noticed on the Cox International web site, they sell a regular 1/4-32 thread long reach glow plug to go with their conversion head for .049 engines. It looks to be a perfectly normal plug, listed as hot heat range. For $4.95, this seems like a decent deal these days. Has anyone tried them in larger engines?

Looking closely at the photo; I'm guessing that's a Fireball (Swanson) Glow Plug.

I think you're right, $4.95 is good so it's a good question, can you run these in bigger engines?

Hopefully Swanson has fixed their problems from years ago.  Either the filament would blow, like a fuse, or the plug would leak around the post or could even blow the centerpost out if it was run on powerful engine.
If they've gotten problems sound $4.95 is a dynamite price.  They were pretty close on the heat range.  It was fairly easy to see when you spotted the ring and it was either green, yellow or red (I think).
