Actually it is a Merlin engine, probably built by Packard in the USA. When our fighter squadron airplanes had an engine change, we hung two big blocks of concrete on that tube you see sticking out of the fuselage. Then we would cooly stand right at the wingtip while they ran it up to full power! No earmuffs back then. It is just now starting to affect my ears!!!

This is the early fire extinguishing system. If you have an engine fire, release the brakes. This breaks the fire hydrant and extiguishes the fire. H^^
