We held our stunt contest Sat June 24 in PLainwell, Michigan. We had beautiful weather with just a slight breeze from the east. A wonderful day for flying we had 18 contestants with six of them being junior/seniors. We got in two round of flying for each event Sport, profile, fun scale and F4b. Chuck Snyder came the furthest he drove all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio. Charlie Bauer and his family came from Illinois was probably the second futhes away.
We will be doing this again next year! I would like to thank all of our sponsors with for their donations, Black Hawk Models, Brodak, L&J Hobbies, Wing MFG, and Hobby Sports.com.

Leroy,
Thanks for the contest report. Maybe next year schedules will be better and I will be able to fly at your event as well as at SIG.
For sure I have the Musciano Contest on my calender and come rain or shine I'll be there.
Jan just picked up a hollow log P-40 he's going to build for the contest. John Paris has a few models ready and so do Jay and Skip.
Here is a picture of my Squadron and I'm planning to build the mother of all Golden Hawks.

Hey Leroy, glad you had a great meet. I had really wanted to be there, but some things conspired to keep away all of this year so far. I am hoping to join Frank and be at the next one. Put some pics up of your day at the field.
See you later

It's great to see that kind of craftsmanship.

All I can say is WOW! Leroy. I will have to get my self down to your meets soon or I'll burst. Those are some beautiful planes you guys have. Thanks for the pics. I could go on and on, but I need to get busy myself and finish my latest projects, so I'll just save a few of those pics to keep me fueled. f~ f~ f~

Leroy, stop it! That Typhoon! WOW! and the first few pics, I am not sure what that biplane is, P-6 Hawk? Curtiss, or Boeing? But a very awesome looking plane. The WW2 planes are of great intrest to me. I have a large 1/48scale plastic model collection of mostly WW2 planes. It was my other hobby for a long time. It still is, sorta.
I have a few sets of plans for some WW2 planes I want to build, hopefully this winter. Thanks for the shot Leroy, be seeing you one of these days.

While I have never flown scale, I sure can appreciate it.
It is great to see a contest with scale again! This event unfortunately has dwindled, and there is talk about eliminating it at the NATS
Perhaps this is the stimulus that is needed. My hat is off to you!

Thanks for the pics! That full fuse (HS129?) twin and the Typhoon are WAY cool! **)
