Weekend weather for El Dorado contest
« on: May 02, 2019, 01:29:38 PM »
The forecast is not great but neither is it bad enough for me to pass on the trip.  Storms are expected tomorrow, maybe the same on Saturday, but Sunday looks OK.  Unless I have a last minute problem, I expect to be on my way tomorrow morning.

I suppose El Dorado has had its share of rain lately.  DFW certainly has had enough and more on the way.  Right now, nasty dark clouds are just to the west of Fort Worth.  We are about to get clobbered again.

How are field conditions now?  If El Dorado was getting the storms that we did this week, I suppose the grassy areas are a bit swampy.

I was out at the field this afternoon with Jamie Holford and his dad. The field is in great shape at the moment. The guys in the club mowed the grass yesterday to beat the rains. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow and Saturday morning, so I’m sure there will be some wet areas come Saturday. Sunday looks really nice.

This afternoon was excellent weather for flying. Sadly we did more talking than flying but was nice none the less.

With the issues with my leg from earlier this weekend spending 4.5 days in Hospital Captivity. Im not too worried about competing. Just happy to be around good company. Of course for you guys driving the long distance. It matters.

So all in all. Make the trip and if anything if the weather is bad we can sit around with a beer and pick in each other as usual lol!!!
