Weather for Golden State Championships
« on: October 12, 2009, 04:13:06 PM »
For those of you who don't watch the weather; Central CA is due for a rather big storm coming in tonight (Monday night) and moving out Wednesday (there goes my Tuesday practice  >:(. The forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday call for lows in the 50's, highs in the low 80's, and very clear blue skys  #^ That means the all day practice with the PC Flyers on Friday should be an excellent session for all! (See the other GS thread for more info.)

Should be a great weekend.

Great News! However, I am hoping for a nice breeze. My plane flies like crap in dead calm air.

See you there, Brian.

This has been a "windier" summer than most, and all club members agree. "Statisically" speaking, we have  been averaging about 7-12 mph winds this summer. Hope that help keep your lines tight.  #^

The forcast is for "STUNT HEAVEN" WX.  Not only clear skys and 80 degrees, but winds around 5 MPH.   #^

Hi Clint: If my planes looked as beautiful as yours I would not care how they flew!   y1

See you this weekend.

Regards,  H^^

Why, thank you very much, Rudy. I'll be riding in with Brian Moore late Friday. See you at the field!

This is Thursday morning, and I have awoken to an absolutely beautiful day! The PC Flyers will be out to the practice field this afternoon to get set up. Those that can make it will be flying under clear blue skys and a gentle breeze. I wish I could fly today, but to much to do.

This weather is supposed to stay with us through the weekend. The Golden State Championships will be flown in great weather!

Good Luck to All!!

Wish I could be there. The forecast for here is constant, hard, unremitting deluge. Glad I got the drains and gutters cleaned last weekend.

Hi guys,

We had a very nice day here in Fresno, good flying weather. We had a good turn out at our field. We laid out three circles and each circle was busy. I want to thank all the fliers that came to our field and made a great day for us.  We had a great chef that cooked the tube steaks for us, Mr Brian Massey is the great chef (look out Michael your brother can cook up a good dog) Tomorrow the Golden State Contest will begin and I hope they have as nice of a day as we had. Thanks to People's Church, Shawn Neufeld, Brian Massey, Ron Anderson, Norm Gayer, Roger Anderson for all there help.

See ya all at the contest

You could have sent some of that weather our way.  James and I drove down to Neosho, MO for their little contest.  Seven planes in the ready/pull test area.  Temps in high 40's to low 50's.  Very little wind.  And the hip almost done me in again.  James had competition his own age and got beat.  Congrats to Ben Mills, son of James Mills.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Any news on the GSSC as it progresses? OTS and Classic should be done now, with PAMPA classes starting in the morning. Y'all have fun and fly safe.  y1 Steve
