3D printers are amazing, I agree.   We have several at work (product design engineering), and sometimes the file for a model airplane part or two will somehow get "miss-sent" to the printer.

I've printed a cowling and a couple of C/L venturis.   Much easier than machining them.

Cool.  Did you notice the laser cut wood quadcopter on the table behind them?  Despite all the techno-gadgets - balsa & ply will never die.
