This is my 1st Profile in over 40 years. A very special build.
Any guesses?

F4F Wildcat

Avenger...looks like the Don Hutchinson version. Note suggestion of turret behind main canopy. 8)

I agree with Pete. That definitely looks like Don's Avenger. I have his entire Warbirds series. I really want to build the Hellcat, but I have a number of models ahead of it and I'm not making much progress on them.

Brewster Buffalo with a rear turret?
Joe

Wayne, Pete, Steve,
Correct, it is Don Hutchinson's Avenger. As of last night the framing is complete, including the turret. I have to install the tail wheel mount then I can install the fuselage skin. I will take another picture tonight.

This is starting to scare me, Tom! This is your first profile in a bunch of years, I just bought the fuse material yesterday for MY first profile in over 15 years!! (And it's a warbird, too.) Are we inhabiting each other's minds?? n~ ??? :o
I decided I needed a profile for just kicking around, then decided, if I'm gonna build one, why not a bipe, then the old love reared it's head in the form of the old Berkely SBC-3 Helldiver I built in the 50's. So now I'm in the design stage of deciding size, etc. and airfoils. I'm about there, and as soon as I get my foam cutting hardware back from Traxler I'll start on the wings.
Keep some pics coming, pard.

Tom,
How about jumping over to the Building section with this one and then keep us in the loop all the way through the build? y1 y1 y1

Here is an update as of this morning.
Will,
I guess Great Minds ????? think alike??
Wayne,
You are correct any more should be in the builders section. With too much going on at once, it will be a slow build.

Those Grumanns! What did they do with all that extra room inside? (did they get paid by the cubic inch?)
Floyd

The extra room was for armor. The Grumman Iron Works.
