See you there, Bob. BTW, are you going for your 10th straight win or something like that? LL~

Doc, when are leaving if everything goes wrong? I'll look you up. Bring the dog.

OK, OK, you talked me into it. I'll be there. 8)

Sorry I won't make it again this year. Gas prices along with some health problems will knock me out of going again this year.

I'm hoping to make the 6.5 mile drive on Monday LL~
-
Mike, that was just mean....... LL~ LL~
I'll be staring out on the 13 hour drive friday morning, I plan on being there for dinner. #^
-
That's it? Six of us? Cool, I'll get at least sixth place. #^

We are planning on leaving saturday morning for the 1150 mile drive down. It should be exciting as I haven't been able to fly this winter because of the weather. I did get a few flights on my new Magician, and am hoping to get a few on my ign. plane tomorrow. Should be good for a few giggles from the sidelines for you guys.
We are going to miss you and Rea down there Marvin, but totally understand. Since we had not made it for a couple of years, we decided to spend the kids inheritance and go. Since my wife has sisters in Casagrande and Surprise, we will make a visiting trip out of it also.
-
Wish I could go every year, but I've only made it once so far in 2007. Keith Sandberg and I did 1800 miles one way in 24 hours, almost to the minute. This was including food and fuel stops. It was well worth the 120 dollar speeding ticket I received entering Greensburg Kansas. The following year Greensburg was essentially wiped off the planet by a massive tornado. Karma? ;D

Gordan Delaney was here last weekend.
Pete and Diana Peterson arrived this Wednesday morning.
(Please remember that if you are not preregistered, you will not be able to fly in the VSC competition. Registration closed on March 4.)

I'm not getting to go, but Allen Brickhaus was nice enough to call me just now on his way by Little Rock to VSC. I hope eveyone has a safe trip[ and a good time.
Nothing like good friends :)

I have been going thru serious withdrawals, missing both VSC and the Nats in recent years.
I just figured out that it has been 12 years since I was last at VSC. I am completing the "Swift" and the "Sea Vixen" with the intentions of attending VSC next year. Now all I have to do is steal a gasoline truck to get the fuel that will be $5.00 a gallon next year for the 2000 mile round trip.
Drill Baby Drill !!!!!
-
Good luck and safe journey to all who can attend. I'll have to say it again - maybe next year...
-
I'd love to attend a VSC one of these days..
Classic at the Nats will have to do for now.
-
I will be there probably sometime Saturday afternoon or evening.

Not only am I coming, but I am judging Old Time (Bribes welcome) AND!!!! My wife is accompianing me there for the first time!!!! #^ ~> y1 ;D
I splattered my "Tech Terror" last sunday, it is my only Classic legal design. The line clips got snagged causing a perfect figure 9. The prop tips weren't even scratched! Couldn't do that on purpose if I tried. I won't be using that style of clip again! HB~>
The middle 3" of wing and fuselage and tail were toast! Through diligent effort, it has risen from the grave. Yes, I will be flying the Techenmonster! Or perhaps the Vampirror? Whatever.
It is now rebuilt, covered and 2 coats of clear on the wood parts ( Coverlite doesn't need any painting ) The fuselage is a bit crooked, but the surfaces are all aligned, so it should fly well. It was flying great before the splat. Tomorrow I will cut out the deco stuff and give it a couple of more coats of dope. One final overcoat of Lustercote clear should finish it off.
See you at VSC!

I wish good weather, good flying and a good time to all who attend. Unfortunately, that does not include me yet. Maybe someday.
Somebody please post pictures, lots of pictures!!

Clint, you forgot about all the local past NATS champions that now reside in Tuscon. If I remember right you were ahead of me on the score board the last time you were there. I haven't improved my flying any either. LL~ LL~
-
Mike K. - I'm sorta concerned about you, is there a chance you might find a rest area on the way so you don't "over drive" your energy level?! LL~ LL~

Me neither.

The Tech Terror Zombie version is complete and ready to fly. It needs at least a day to let the paint cure, but that will leave me a couple of days to destroy it again! :X
Dang it, I WILL fly my own design at VSC no matter how long it takes! SH^
