Frisky Pete plans, DVD and story available from Robin's View
« on: March 30, 2008, 06:46:32 PM »
This is just to announce that my company, Robin's View Productions, now has available a package that includes the plans of the Frisky Pete OTS design by S. Calhoun Smith (Cal Smith), a 30 minute DVD presentation of the model, including a flight, and a written story by me about the version that I built and the legal mods that I made to it.

For further information about this offer please go to the Robin's View Productions section of Vendor's Corner.

A donation from each sale of the package will be made to the AMA Scholarship Fund in Cal Smith's name.

Thanks - Bob Hunt

I've been asked to post a photo of the Frisky Pete... so here it is!

I got the plans, story, and DVD from Bob at this year's VSC...excellent plans (I expected nothing less from Bob) and plan to build one for next year.

What got me going on the Frisky Pete was that a friend of mine, an R/C but not C/L flier, gave me a new, in original box, with original instructions, Fox .25.  My friend said that the engine came from his deceased uncle's estate, and that he had no use for the engine as it was for the obsolete hobby of C/L flying.  I graciously agreed to take it off his hands.  I figured that since the Fox .25 worked well for Bob, it would be good for a reprise.  Bob did warn me that the Fox .25 is pretty loud, though.

For those interested in the Friskey Pete, I sent the plans for it to Kyle at tankshangar.com and had him do them into laser cut parts. He will do this if you contact him first and make arrangements to send the neccessary wood to him. The parts I got were Kyle's normal first rate stuff. You won't be dissapointed.

It wasn't that you could and others couldn't, its that you did and others didn't.

Better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.
