Check out this interesting shot from VSC first day...What a stunning model that almost "bit the big one on the tarmac"
Thanks to quick feet n' hands at the handle, just slight wingtip damage to a most interesting model with a tasty paint job.

Take a good look at this picture because it is an "After" picture of the crash. This guy when back to the hotel and repaired the plane and flew it today in competition. No lie!

Yup That's Carl. I saw him fly at NW Regional while sitting in a wheelchair. It was awsome. I think this plane is Monocoated and you can hardly tell it unless you get real close. He is great craftsman and a real gentemen.

I was amazed that Carl was able to repair the plane overnight. Wing tip and cowl damage and some other, various dings and dents. He was even able to apply the lettering that he hadn't had time to repair previously.
The guy can work.
